In 2002, Brian Kruhlak, then the Golf Professional at the Avalon Golf Links in Burlington decided to lease 20 carts to rent to local courses for their large events.
Armed with a beat up pick up truck, a six-cart trailer and most importantly the most popular driver in Skagit County, Chuckanut Golf Carts was in motion!
With the aforementioned Lowell “Clarence” Howard performing every duty imaginable including driving, repairing and smile-spreading, Chuckanut Golf Carts began fulfilling the rental needs of all of the golf courses in Skagit and Whatcom counties.
Fourteen years later, we’ve got a few more employees, a lot more carts, trucks and trailers and we deliver all over the northwest region of the state. However, at our core we are still the same small company doing our best to serve the needs of our many wonderful customers.
